Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurological Specialist Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing adults with a range of neurological conditions and developing treatment programs to support rehabilitation and disability management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist assessment, treatment, and clinical management of clients with neurological conditions.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective Physiotherapy working practices to support a multidisciplinary team approach.
  • Work with the Allied Health Professional Lead to develop the service to meet changing health and social care agendas.
  • Lead the clinical development and operational management of a team of Physiotherapists within the Tower Hamlets Community Neuro Team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deputise to the Allied Health Professional Lead as required.
  • Work with the acute Neurological Physiotherapy service and Community Health Services to provide integrated care for clients with a Neurological diagnosis.

Person Specification
  • Clinical experience in the field of Neurology, having completed band 6 rotations or equivalent.
  • Clinical experience in the NHS or similar health service across a range of acute/rehab settings.
  • Working in a Multidisciplinary or Physiotherapy Team.
  • Contributing to professional development and clinical education of more junior staff, students, and assistants.
  • Involvement in audit, research, and understanding of quality issues.
  • Working in a community setting.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at recent postgraduate courses/training relevant to Neuro rehab and disability management.
  • Postgraduate formal qualification (i.e., MSc, etc.).
  • Leadership training.
  • European Computer Driving Licence.
