About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory. As a Mechanical Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear facilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Identify and report any safety or quality issues to management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a nuclear or related industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly organized and able to work under pressure.
