Assistant Safeguarding Officer

At The Scouts Association, we're committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all our members. We're seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our Safeguarding Team as an Assistant Safeguarding Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of safeguarding concerns and provide support and advice to local volunteer managers.
- Progress safeguarding concerns and make referrals to statutory agencies as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Safeguarding Manager to ensure effective safeguarding practices across the organization.
About the Role:
The Assistant Safeguarding Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our members. You'll work closely with our Safeguarding Manager to develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures, and provide training and support to volunteers and staff.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £33,476 per annum (inclusive of Outer London Weighting).
- A 35-hour working week with hybrid working arrangements.

Requirements:
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
