About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with young people, families, and other professionals to provide high-quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs, working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including DBT skills, Mentalisation-based therapy, and motivational interviewing, to support young people's mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in multi-agency working, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve outcomes for young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.

Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as a registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, or Occupational Therapist.
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team, with a strong commitment to collaborative care and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, families, and other professionals.
