Engineering Planner

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our team at E3 Recruitment. As an Engineering Planner, you will play a critical role in maximizing the performance of engineering operations and ensuring the reliability of assets.
Main Responsibilities- Shutdown Coordination: Lead the coordination of maintenance shutdowns, establishing best practices and ensuring seamless execution.
- Shift Planning: Control and populate the engineering shift plan for all engineering personnel, including contractors.
- Scheduling Meetings: Chair weekly scheduling meetings for planned activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Work Backlog Management: Control, populate, and prioritize a work backlog for all maintenance activities or activities involving the engineering team.
- CMMS Implementation: Key involvement in the implementation of a new Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and T-card system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, and Operational Managers to provide a schedule of work for shift engineers, ensuring the reliability of assets.
- Communication: Liaise with production, services, and central functions to ensure routine maintenance is planned and executed efficiently and effectively.
- Record Keeping: Ensure accurate records and documentation for all production and auxiliary plant, including insurance records.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate and site contact for contractors, ensuring safe and controlled activities are completed on-site and to the quality of engineering standards.
- CMMS Experience: Proven experience with CMMS and maintenance planning.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to plan resources and coordinate people effectively.
- Engineering Training: Engineering training or qualifications (NVQ3, HNC).
- Mechanical and Electrical Engineering: Demonstrable mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Problem-Solving: Problem-solving tools and techniques to deliver efficiency.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills.
- Communication: Good communication techniques.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement approach.
