We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Specialist ADHD Pathway in Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting ADHD assessments for children and young people, managing a caseload of children and young people with an existing diagnosis of ADHD, and arranging and conducting medication reviews.
The team works closely with other teams within the CFAA service, as well as partnership agencies and voluntary services that support children, young people, and families.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, learning disability, or paediatric nursing, with experience in conducting assessments and managing caseloads.
The role requires effective communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to cope in a pressurised environment.
The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly in response to service needs and take responsibility for devising care plans following reviews for each child, young person, and their families.
The team is committed to providing high-quality care and support to children, young people, and families, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this goal.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Trust's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct ADHD assessments for children and young people
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with an existing diagnosis of ADHD
- Arrange and conduct medication reviews
- Work closely with other teams within the CFAA service and partnership agencies
- Take responsibility for devising care plans following reviews for each child, young person, and their families
- Registered professional qualification in Mental Health, Nursing (RMN) or Specialist Community Public Health Nurse or Certified School Nurse or Paediatric Nurse
- Post qualifying Child & Adolescent Mental Health training or qualifications in therapeutic approaches with children, young people, and families
- Ability to manage clinical risk and understanding of child safeguarding procedures
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to cope in a pressurised environment and apply practical problem-solving skills in everyday situations
