As a key member of our Central Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in the governance of RWE's groupwide procurement activities and the procurement of all indirect demands of the RWE Group.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and continuously improve RWE procurement directives, handbooks, and other guidance documents to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Monitor and assess new developments in legal requirements, business policies, and commercial best practices to ensure appropriate implementation in procurement guidelines and processes.
- Take responsibility for selected compliance topics, particularly sustainability (ESG) and UK Modern Slavery, to ensure a high level of compliance within the organization.
- Develop and deliver effective communication and training programs on guideline and compliance-related topics to operational procurement teams.
- Participate in and manage strategic projects for the further development of procurement within RWE Group, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain a stable network with key stakeholders, including operational procurement teams, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Sustainability, and other functions within RWE Group.
- University degree in business, law, procurement, supply chain, or a comparable educational and/or professional background.
- High affinity for guidelines, directives, and policies, with several years of experience in their design and implementation.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in various compliance topics, including sustainability (ESG) and UK Modern Slavery.
- Knowledge and experience in strategic and operative procurement processes, with a focus on compliance and governance.
- Comprehensive methodological skills and a systematic, quality- and goal-oriented approach to work.
- Self-confidence and ability to deal with conflicts with a clear solution orientation.
- High team spirit and comprehensive interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel (approximately 10%, mainly within Europe).
- Fluent in spoken and written English; German and further languages are beneficial but not a must.
