Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological therapy to adults with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) in Berkshire.

About the Role

This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term position to provide maternity cover. You will be working in a dynamic and forward-thinking team, providing evidence-based psychological therapy with a primary focus on Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT). As a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing, formulating, and delivering therapeutic interventions to clients referred to the service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate treatment plans for clients with EUPD, taking into account their complex needs and circumstances.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapy, including individual and group sessions, to clients with EUPD.
  • Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team's work.

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology or post-graduate qualification in adult psychotherapy.
  • Registered and accredited with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) for psychologists or UKCP for psychotherapists.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services and experience of working with clients with personality disorders.
