Job Purpose:- Oversee the management of intricate products from initial quotation through to successful launch.
- Coordinate with multiple tooling and capital suppliers to ensure adherence to timing and budgetary constraints.
- Facilitate the introduction of new products and processes into the organization while meeting established time and cost objectives.
- Develop detailed timing schedules aligned with customer milestones.
- Establish pre-production methodologies.
- Create PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures to support both pre-production and production phases.
- Design, specify, and source essential manufacturing equipment.
- Authorize new equipment installations, including managing run rates and capability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and complete necessary health and safety documentation.
- Collaborate with product design teams to enhance component designs for optimal manufacturability.
- Generate workbooks to produce precise cost estimates that support commercial activities.
- Manage change requests through the CR system and ensure timely submissions.
- Assist quality teams in resolving customer issues and identifying root causes.
- Oversee equipment installation and contractor management.
- Support daily operational activities within the business.
- Initiate cost-saving projects to align with the plant's continuous improvement roadmap.
- Possess experience in aftermarket component supply.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience working with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
- Familiarity with headliner manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments that heavily utilize IT systems.
- Substantial experience in a relevant role within a first-tier automotive supplier, ideally in a just-in-time setting.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficient in MS Project.
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
