About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeper to join our team as a Live-In Housekeeper. As a key member of our household team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake laundry and housekeeping duties to a very high standard, including hand-washing delicate items and ironing and pressing clothing and bedding.
  • Polish silver and brass items, and perform high and low-level cleaning tasks.
  • Run weekly water checks on bathroom and kitchen taps, and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen after meals.
  • Stock the fridge and dry goods, checking expiry dates on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Clean all wardrobes, shelves, and drawers, and tidy and organize clothing as per the principals' or House Manager's instructions.
  • Pack and unpack for the family as required, and mend holes, buttons, or report to the House Manager if items need sending out for repair.
  • Clean shoes after every use, and report repairs as needed.
  • Wipe clean and steam all suitcases after arrival, ensuring they are always ready for the next departure.
  • Report to the House Manager when cleaning materials need re-ordering, and maintain the cleanliness of dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers.
  • Watch over contractors when they are working in the principals' property, and assist the other housekeeper at another residence, although this will be rare.

Requirements:

  • Highly organized and efficient, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Confident in all aspects of housekeeping, with a willingness to undertake tasks outside of the normal remit.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with the House Manager and other housekeepers.
  • Highly skilled in laundry, including hand-washing delicate items and ironing and pressing clothing and bedding.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
