Job Title: Cyber Security Manager

Transputec is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Manager to join our team. As a key member of our security function, you will be responsible for managing and mitigating operational, technical, and information security risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement security risk management strategies to protect our organization's assets.
  • Lead the 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team in incident management, investigation, and response.
  • Manage security assurance activities, including compliance with Cyber Essentials and other security standards.
  • Support business activities, such as proposals and Statements of Work (SoW).
  • Oversee penetration testing reports and provide security training to staff and clients.
  • Accountable for security tooling, training, and physical security requirements.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the security function, including planning, budgeting, and motivational activities.
  • Liaise with governance functions, such as Physical Security, Risk Management, IT, HR, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Form a center of excellence for information security management, offering consultancy advice and assistance.
  • Lead compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure internal policies and applicable laws are met.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of full-time work experience in security management or related functions.
  • High standards of personal integrity, with an unblemished career history and willingness to undergo vetting and/or personality assessments.
  • Hands-on team leadership and management experience, ideally with a suitable management qualification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security risks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to build understanding and awareness of security issues throughout the organization.
  • Good team working skills to develop security solutions in collaboration with other information technology professionals.
  • Understanding of available tools and technologies to protect and monitor IS.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
