Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning Mentor to join our team at Meridian Business Support Limited. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils who are permanently excluded, at risk of permanent exclusion, or unable to access education in mainstream settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic and emotional support to pupils to help them achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each pupil
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with pupils who have complex needs and challenging behaviors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the pupils and the school
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education and support
