Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Leader to join our dedicated Technical Team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Quality Assurance Manager in overseeing food safety, quality assurance, health & safety, and legal compliance at our Central Production Unit.
- Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Engage with operational management and staff to enhance the food safety and quality culture within the organization.
- Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of food production processes, ensuring adherence to hygiene practices and good manufacturing standards.
- Document and communicate findings from audits to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Maintain accurate records of monitoring activities and corrective actions taken.
- Oversee routine sampling plans for microbiological testing, analyzing results and reporting findings to the Line Manager.
- Assist in resolving supplier and customer complaints related to food safety and quality issues.
- Collaborate with various departments to support BRC audit preparations and participate in HACCP and TACCP teams.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of food safety legislation and quality standards. A strong background in quality assurance is preferred, along with the ability to lead and inspire a team. Knowledge of HACCP principles, a relevant food science qualification, and experience in a high-care manufacturing environment are advantageous.
