About the Role

We are seeking a talented Java Developer to join our Software Innovation team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with our existing team to design, create, test, and document new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new and amended programs from supplied specifications
  • Provide application maintenance and support services to users or service delivery functions
  • Collaborate with teams to support the mission of keeping UK Defence agile and safe
  • Contribute to solution reviews and provide input on design and development
Requirements
  • 3 years of Java development experience within an enterprise
  • Experience of source control and CI/CD principles
  • Designs or undertakes impact analysis of medium size solutions or partial solutions within a large established architecture
  • Schedules and monitors own work, minimal escalation of problems and queries
