About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Head of Property Care to lead our property maintenance services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring strong operational and financial performance, providing excellent customer service, and inspiring colleagues. You will develop and execute a property maintenance strategy that supports the delivery of our current and future Corporate Plans.
Key Responsibilities- Set the vision and strategic direction for the property maintenance function, embodying FCHO's Values and Behavioural Framework.
- Expand the service to become the 'contractor of choice' for FCHO.
- Maximise resources through effective performance management and productivity enhancement.
- Ensure all statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements are met, delivering the organisation's goals.
- Oversee operational and financial performance, including budget management (circa £8m) and effective financial forecasting.
- Ensure appropriate staff development to meet service objectives and business planning.
- Achieve best-in-sector performance regarding cost, quality, and service delivery.
- Oversee FCHO's fleet and facilities management.
- Lead the application and delivery of the Sustainability Strategy for Property Care.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to expand service delivery and grow the Property Care business.
- Lead service reviews and the continual evolution of policies and operational procedures.
We are looking for a forward-thinking leader with a passion for excellence and innovation in property maintenance. You will have strong technical skills and experience in delivering property maintenance services, excellent problem-solving and contract negotiation skills, strong operational and financial management skills, and significant experience in project programme performance monitoring and financial management.
