Lead Pharmacist for Renal Medicine - Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our Renal Medicine department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in renal pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide Clinical Leadership: Lead a team of pharmacists in providing high-quality clinical services to patients with renal conditions.
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Services: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical services that improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Manage and Develop Pharmacy Services: Oversee the management and development of pharmacy services, including medication management, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other pharmacists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Best Practices: Stay current with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in renal pharmacy services to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced pharmacist to take on a leadership role in our Renal Medicine department. Requirements:

  • Current Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
  • Independent Pharmacist Prescriber or willingness to obtain
  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
