The Role

We are seeking an Associate Director to lead high-performing teams in the successful delivery of multiple healthcare projects or programmes. As a client-facing role, you will be responsible for leading other team members, developing clients' strategies, and assisting in the appointment of the extended professional team of local and international consultants and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
  • Develop and manage effective communication with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that requirements are identified.
  • Develop the clients' brief, delivery strategy, and lead the design management, procurement, and execution of the scheme.
  • Supervise and develop a team that strives for quality, safety, cost, and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners.
  • Oversee that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.
  • Perform non-project-related roles, including business reporting, bidding, resourcing, and others as directed by the business lead.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium/large-sized projects.
  • Developing budgetary oversight expertise.
  • Developing proficiency in coordinating activities and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills across estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls, and reporting for planning, estimating, contract administration, and procurement issues for various procedural, construction, and design activities.
  • Ensure project risks are effectively identified, mitigated, and managed, including the proactive management of the early warning process.
  • Developing bidding, business development, and/or account growth capabilities.
  • Strong commercial and financial skills and an ability to build up fee proposals and oversee project workbooks.
  • Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific industry of project/role.
  • Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.
  • Sound technical expertise in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) (or local equivalent) rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
  • Developing a reputation across the relevant sector/market and operating at the highest level of compliance.
  • Has spent time in both a consultancy and construction environment (or equivalent).
