Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our client's close-knit team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing complex production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including predictive and preventative maintenance, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
  • Work on high-speed production machinery, including conveyors, silos, blowers, steam and boiler systems, industrial control systems, dryers, robotics, chillers, air systems, and automation and control systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, including PLCs, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Manage stores and spare parts, utilizing Maximo asset care management systems.
Requirements
  • Must be a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias.
  • Hold a recognized engineering apprenticeship and formal qualifications.
  • Ideal candidate will have HNC qualifications.
  • Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely, and efficiently.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in FMCG, fast-paced manufacturing.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC electrical fault finding skills, and 17th or 18th Edition beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, team player, strong communicator, enthusiastic, and driven character.
  • Able to work on own initiative, sometimes unsupervised.
  • Good IT skills, including use of SAP.
