VGC Group is seeking skilled Steel Fixers for a significant project in the West Midlands. This opportunity offers a long-term contract with the potential for up to three years of work.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting construction blueprints and specifications to ascertain the necessary type, quantity, and arrangement of rebar.
  • Utilizing cutting and bending tools to shape steel bars and mesh.
  • Constructing rebar cages and mats according to project specifications.
  • Securing rebar in concrete forms using appropriate methods.
  • Ensuring correct positioning of rebar with spacers and chairs.
  • Tying rebar together to create a solid reinforcement framework.
  • Inspecting installations to confirm compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Identifying and rectifying any discrepancies in the reinforcement layout.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).

This role offers a competitive hourly wage of £22.04, along with holiday entitlement and eligibility for the VGC pension scheme after meeting specific criteria.
