Senior Accountant and Audit Specialist - Role Overview

As a key member of the audit and accounting team, you will engage closely with a diverse array of clients, assisting them in achieving their business and personal goals.

The position encompasses both audit and accounting responsibilities, with a primary emphasis on accounting tasks, and you will be expected to support audit activities during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Planning, budgeting, and finalizing audit documentation while managing the audit process efficiently
  • Collaborating as part of a team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
  • Delegating tasks and supervising the work of junior team members
  • Assisting in the development and training of trainees
  • Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities or enhancements for clients by critically evaluating existing practices
  • Providing support to managers and partners regarding their client portfolios
Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Practice Accountant status with either ACA or ACCA
  • Audit experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Iris
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and determined approach
