About the Role

Capita Pension Solutions is seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to join our team. As an Actuarial Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our clients, focusing on GMP equalisation, NRA equalisation, and other rectification projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client projects related to GMP equalisation, NRA equalisation, and other rectification projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Supervise, check, and approve the work of junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Act as the primary client contact for certain projects, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Attend client meetings, presenting complex actuarial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support the management of the team's workflow, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

A part-qualified actuary studying with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' exams or qualified by experience, with a strong understanding of benefits legislation and industry best practice.

Essential Skills

  • Industry-specific knowledge and expertise in GMP equalisation, NRA equalisation, and other rectification projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of PFaroe actuarial consulting software, with experience in using it to deliver high-quality services to clients.
