Position Overview

Lead 6G Wireless Specialist

European Recruitment is collaborating with a premier organization in search of a Senior-level professional to take on the role of a 6G Wireless Specialist. In this position, you will engage in pioneering research and standardization efforts in the realm of wireless technology. The primary objective is to pinpoint future technological requirements, innovate, and gain insights from prototype demonstrations, as this initiative is at the cutting edge of 6G exploration.

The organization seeks to onboard a driven Wireless Engineer tasked with the design, simulation, and prototyping of 6G technologies. You will be responsible for delivering proof of concept for systems that are propelling 6G research forward, including technology generation, link-level simulation bench development, and advancing wireless technologies through patents and scholarly publications in this field.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of professional or research experience in Physical Layer, MAC Layer, or Air-interface design, with an emphasis on 5G and 6G technologies.
  • Expertise in MATLAB is essential, while familiarity with GitHub or other version control systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in link-level (L1/PHY) simulations is required, including the simulation of propagation channels and PHY layer algorithm modeling.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in modulation and coding techniques, advanced waveform designs, information theory, signal processing, or PHY and MAC layer design.
  • Familiarity with 3GPP 4G LTE and 5G/NR is preferred.
  • A robust background in 3GPP and cellular systems, wireless protocol development, and foundational wireless communications principles: mmWave, sub-THz, beamforming, RF/EM propagation, channel modeling, and advanced waveform design. Knowledge of 3GPP stochastic channel models and Near-Field concepts is a plus.
