Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Domestic Services team at Mold Community Hospital. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of environmental cleanliness and ensuring that our hospital facilities are clean and safe for patients, visitors, and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness of floors, furniture, and fittings, as well as removal of marks from walls, partitions, and doors.
  • Carry out non-cleaning tasks such as washing patients' crockery, jugs, and glasses, and making beds with clean linen.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including electrical equipment, to achieve specified standards of cleanliness.
  • Handle refuse for disposal purposes.
  • Replenish supplies of paper hand towels, toilet tissue, soap, and hand moisturiser as required.
  • Monitor stocks of cleaning materials, refuse bags, toilet tissue, paper hand towels, hand soap, and hand moisturiser, and request supplies as necessary.
  • Organise own day-to-day workload within work scheduling guidelines to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the set standard.
  • Complete documentation to record 'full clean' completed.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of specified cleaning methods and frequencies.
  • Communicate with Domestic Supervisors, patients, visitors, ward, and departmental staff to achieve specified standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Board and Departmental policies, procedures, and good practices.
