About the Role

We're seeking a security-conscious Android engineer to maintain and improve the functionality and app security for the InControl Remote offering. You'll work within a cross-functional squad to produce features for our latest mobile project, collaborating with Engineering Leads, SEIT, Agile Delivery Leads, and UI/UX to deliver a high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop production Android apps in Kotlin, ensuring quality and performance through bug fixing, peer reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
  • Personal development of your Android skill set during 20% time, reserved for personal growth and skill enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver a high-quality product, maintaining quality and performance through bug fixing, peer reviews, automated testing, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing production Android apps in Kotlin.
  • Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and best-practice mitigations, following OWASP MASVS.
  • Familiarity with development best practices like SOLID, DI, DDD, Onion & Hexagonal Architectures.
  • Experience writing effective unit tests and UI testing in Espresso.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like Flow, Rx, Koin, Hilt/Dagger, Glide, Compose, and Retrofit.
