About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portering Services Manager to join our team at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of Portering services across our campus, which comprises circa 1940 beds spread across a range of specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management and supervision on a day-to-day operational basis with responsibility for the provision of Portering services.
  • Work closely with other Facilities' services, both locally and corporately, to support service delivery.
  • Undertake a wide range of Portering management-related functions and provide contact and interface with clinical staff, patients, and visitors on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure the provision of key support services at this unique and challenging time.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Knowledge and practical operational experience on a wide range of non-clinical support service functions.
  • The ability to be self-motivated and have a can-do, problem-solving attitude.
  • The ability to respond to unpredictable/emergency situations.
