The Public Protection division offers evidence-based, expert guidance and assistance to personnel on all facets of Public Protection within our organization, including Adult Support & Protection. The Clinical Effectiveness Lead for Adult Protection will: spearhead service enhancement initiatives; provide training and educational resources related to Public Protection; conduct audits with a focus on improvement; participate in multi-agency meetings and evaluations as necessary, and guarantee the highest standards of Adult Protection guidance and support are delivered throughout the organization. This position holds a national significance, and while the primary focus is on Adult Protection, familiarity with other Public Protection domains such as Gender-Based Violence and Child Protection would be beneficial.

The individual in this role will be accountable for offering leadership, direction, and counsel to foster ongoing enhancements in service delivery and outcomes for adults at risk of harm who utilize SAS services. This encompasses collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders, both internally and externally, to fulfill and surpass statutory and policy obligations in critical areas of Adult Support and Protection, PREVENT, and Gender-Based Violence.

The incumbent will ensure that policies, national and local standards, clinical practices, and Public Protection workforce development are established to facilitate safe, effective, and efficient service delivery, grounded in a model of continuous quality enhancement.

It is imperative that candidates are registered professionals (e.g., HCPC, NMC, or SSC) with a first-level degree and a postgraduate qualification in Adult Protection (or are currently pursuing this qualification/willing to undertake this course).
