Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team at Grundon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our waste collection services at our Colnbrook depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise an experienced transport office team and around 70 drivers to ensure that customers receive their waste collection service when they expect it.
  • Support the Depot Operations Manager with the management of our waste collection services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the transport team and customers to establish strong relationships and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • At least two years' supervisory or managerial experience in the waste industry.
  • A Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and full clean UK driving licence, ideally with LGV Class 2 (cat C) entitlement.
  • Excellent customer-focused approach, organisational skills, and ability to build good working relationships.
  • Confident communicator and motivator with sound computer and cost-control skills.
