Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with architects and engineers to gather detailed product and structural requirements and designs.
  • Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements for projects.
  • Develop comprehensive production methods descriptions, outlining each step involved, including the specific equipment and software utilized.
  • Create precise and detailed designs using CAD software, specifically Tekla and Advance Steel.
  • Produce design diagrams, maps, and layouts to effectively illustrate workflow processes.
  • Prepare and review initial rough sketches with the engineering team, ensuring alignment on design concepts.
  • Identify potential operational challenges within designs and proactively redesign products to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Guarantee that final designs adhere to all relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive manuals that clearly describe existing product operations, features, and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct initial material estimations and calculations for assigned projects.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Drafter or in a similar role within the architectural metalwork or structural steel industry.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Strong familiarity with 3D modeling tools, particularly Tekla and Advance Steel.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
