Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Maintain Health and Safety Policies: Create and implement robust health and safety policies, procedures, and systems to support all departments.
- Manage Health and Safety Queries: Act as the primary point of contact for health and safety queries from employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Compile and Review Health and Safety Documentation: Compile, review, and manage all health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH.
- Stay Up-to-Date with HSE Legislation: Stay current with HSE legislation and industry trends to ensure our organization remains compliant and at the forefront of best practices.
- Analyze Health and Safety Data: Analyze H&S data to generate reports and implement strategies to create a safer environment for all.
- Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Record and investigate incidents and accidents, using the findings to reduce future risks.
- Deliver Health and Safety Training: Collaborate with HR to deliver and maintain comprehensive H&S training programs for all staff and volunteers.
- Lead Health and Safety Audits: Lead health and safety audits, including those for our facilities, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that policies and procedures are being correctly implemented.
- Oversee Event Health and Safety: Oversee the implementation of our Health and Safety Policies during large-scale events, focusing on crowd safety and incident prevention.
- Communicate Health and Safety Performance: Communicate positive H&S performance to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and engagement.
- Bring Innovative Ideas: Bring innovative ideas to the table while maintaining exceptional health and safety standards.
- Support Occupational Health: Support HR with occupational health issues and risk assessments, including those related to pregnancy.
- Promote Equality and Diversity: Promote equality and diversity within the workplace, helping to create an inclusive culture for all.
- NEBOSH or Equivalent H&S Qualification: Possess a NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- IOSH Managing Safely Certification: Hold IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in managing health and safety for large, multi-site operations.
- Crowd Safety Management: Extensive experience in crowd safety management and overseeing large-scale events.
- Data Protection Legislation: Strong understanding of data protection legislation and relevant H&S systems.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT Skills: Proficiency in basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
