Principal Quantity Surveyor

Proman Recruitment is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in Claims Management and a solid background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) to join a vibrant team for a long-term construction initiative. Key Responsibilities:

• Quantity Surveying: Oversee all facets of the quantity surveying operations.

Claims Management:

• Facilitate the preparation, assessment, and resolution of project-related claims.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and legal teams to address disputes.
• Ensure all claims are accurately documented and processed in line with contractual obligations.

MEP Expertise:

• Supervise all MEP-related components of the project.
• Work alongside design and engineering teams to guarantee precise installation and integration of MEP systems.
• Evaluate MEP designs and propose cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.

Project Coordination:

• Engage with the project management team, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Participate in project meetings, provide updates on cost management, and address any financial challenges that may arise.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, codes, and standards.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector, ideally with large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in claims management, with a robust understanding of contractual and legal principles.
• Comprehensive experience in MEP systems, including a deep understanding of installation procedures and cost management.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are advantageous.
