Hygiene Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hygiene Manager to join our team at Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of hygiene supervisors and operatives, driving change and improvement in cleaning efficiency and effectiveness, and coordinating the hygiene strategy across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, train, and support a team of hygiene supervisors and operatives, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve cleaning efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate the hygiene strategy across the site, including people development, engagement, and cost control.
  • Enhance the health and safety culture across the site, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Manage and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) across the site, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Employ effective root cause analysis to drive SMART actions, leading to improved overall results.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of daily and routine hygiene cleans and deep clean cycles, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard without affecting production downtime.
Requirements:
  • Experience within the hygiene function in the Food Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to demonstrate a strong moral compass in a business environment.
  • Trained to Level 3 in Food Safety & HACCP (desirable but not essential).
