Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Driver Hire Southampton for a 12-week temporary-to-permanent position. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move pallets around the warehouse, loading and unloading lorries, and picking and packing orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a reach truck to move pallets around the warehouse
  • Load and unload lorries
  • Pick and pack orders (confectionery goods)
  • Stock checking

Requirements:

  • A valid accredited reach truck forklift license
  • At least 1 year's experience in a previous forklift position
  • Own transport is essential due to the location of our client
  • Understand manual handling and heavy lifting procedures
  • Great time keeping skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety
