About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Service in Stockport. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the early supported discharge of stroke patients and providing rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out rehabilitation programmes directed by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Nurses, with regular reviews of patient goals and progression of rehabilitation programmes.
- Support the team with basic administration, service development, and housekeeping activities.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the Service over 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Requirements
- English fluency and GCSE Maths.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or allied health professional setting.
- Knowledge of the day-to-day role of a Therapy Assistant and awareness of the roles of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, and Clinical Psychologists.
