What the client offers to the successful Construction Programmer:

  • Competitive daily rate of £400 - £500 (negotiable based on experience and skills)
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm (subject to variation)
  • Short-term contract lasting 1-2 months

Role Overview - Construction Programmer

  • Essential in planning, scheduling, and overseeing projects, primarily under NEC3/4 subcontract frameworks
  • Create detailed construction schedules and programs for mechanical fabrication and erection initiatives
  • Conduct site assessments to determine project needs
  • Ensure adherence to NEC3/4 subcontract stipulations, particularly regarding programming and scheduling
  • Work closely with project managers to interpret contract clauses and integrate them into project plans
  • Engage with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met
  • Provide insights on potential scheduling risks
  • Manage resource distribution effectively

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • BSc in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline - MANDATORY
  • Expertise in project management tools, particularly Microsoft Project - MANDATORY
  • Familiarity with NEC3/4 subcontract and its programming demands - MANDATORY
  • Strong grasp of steel fabrication and erection methodologies
