Company Overview:
Example Recruitment Group is a leading provider in the heating industry, collaborating with a prominent national contractor that specializes in private sector services.

Position Overview:
We are seeking self-employed heating engineers to join our team for an ongoing service and repair contract in designated areas.

Contract Details:
Location:
Various locations within the designated areas.

Work Type:
Responsibilities include conducting annual service visits (safety checks), preparing landlord gas safety records, and performing repairs.
Workload consists of approximately 6-8 pre-scheduled appointments daily.

Commitment:
A minimum of 3 days per week is required, with the option to work up to 5 days, including weekends and evening call-outs at enhanced rates.

Contract Length:
Ongoing contract with no specified end date.

Payment Terms:
Payments are made weekly, one week in arrears.

Compensation Rates:
  • Annual Service Visit (Safety Check): £30.00 per appliance
  • Landlord Gas Safety Record: £30.29 per property
  • Repairs: £60.00 per completed property (full van stock and parts provided)
  • Linked Repair: £45.00 (plus service rate if repair is needed during service)
  • Long Duration Work: £180.00
Additional out-of-hours and weekend work is available at enhanced rates.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of qualified experience as a heating engineer
  • ACS Qualifications including CKR1 (Gas Cookers) & HTR1 (Gas Fires)
  • A side van (plain or sign-written)
  • Gas Safe Registration
  • Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser
  • £2m Public Liability Insurance
  • No unspent criminal convictions
