Job Title: Principal EC&I Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal EC&I Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing safety and control systems for hazardous environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop safety and control systems for hazardous environments
  • Conduct HAZOP / LOPA studies and risk assessments to ensure system safety and reliability
  • Lead Factory and Site Acceptance tests to ensure system functionality and performance
  • Supervise site surveys, audits, and installation processes to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct pre-commissioning tests and oversee final setup to ensure system readiness
  • Utilize Siemens TIA for PLC / HMI & SCADA programming to ensure system efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in designing safety systems (IEC61511)
  • Experience designing control systems for explosive atmospheres (BS EN / IEC60079)
  • Able to engage in HAZOP / LOPA studies and risk assessments
  • Able to lead Factory and Site Acceptance tests
  • Able to supervise site surveys, audits, and installation processes
  • Experience conducting pre-commissioning tests
  • Competent use of Siemens TIA for PLC / HMI & SCADA, Ignition configuration, and SQL & Networking knowledge
What We Offer:
  • Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 DOE
  • Hybrid working upon completion of probation
  • Annual Bonus
  • Monday - Friday: 9:00 - 16:00
  • Business mileage paid
  • 33 Days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
