Job Summary

East Ayrshire Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill a temporary part-time term-time position as a Home Link Support Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of supports to children and young people to help them cope with issues affecting their ability to attend and achieve at school.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop supportive links between the school and the home to promote the Council's key objectives.
• Provide supports to build confidence and resilience in children and young people.
• Assist in the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, including the Community Plan, Single Outcome Agreement, and Education Service Strategic Plan.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults.

Working Arrangements

The post is temporary until further notice and is based within Stewarton Academy. The hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at the direction of the line manager.

Salary

The full-time salary of the post is between £28,000 and £31,000 per annum, with the actual full-time term-time salary being between £24,000 and £26,000 per annum.
