About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst to join our team at cer Financial, a leading Financial Services company based in the City of London. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating credit risk for infrastructure projects, working closely with our clients to provide expert advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Analyze Portfolio Transactions: Continuously monitor the development of individual portfolio transactions, perform market and sector research, and analyze key risks, including financial, operational, off-taker/supplier/guarantor, country/regulatory, and market risks.
  • Prepare Credit Papers and Models: Prepare robust and concise internal credit papers and review/update cash flow models to ensure accurate and timely analysis.
  • Review and Evaluate Drawdown Requests: Analyze, evaluate, and comment on drawdown requests and transaction-related financial, technical, and legal reporting provided by borrowers and/or advisors.
  • Manage Covenant Tracking and Documentation: Ensure timely covenant tracking with adequate recording in relevant systems and prepare necessary credit and collateral documentation.
  • Prepare Sensitivity Analysis and Reports: Prepare appropriate Excel sensitivity analysis for transactions and contribute to regular and ad-hoc reporting requests from management, clients, and auditors.
  • Support Diligence and Onboarding: Support the dedicated unit in diligence and onboarding of new portfolios.

Requirements:

  • Banking/University Degree: A banking or university degree (honours) is required.
  • Advanced Excel and Modelling Skills: Advanced excel and modelling skills are essential for this role.
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record in a related credit/risk/asset management environment involving infrastructure and energy project finance is required.
  • Good Understanding of Project and Corporate Finance: A good understanding of both project and corporate finance, with a solid background in and knowledge of credit risk drivers and risks inherent in the respective borrower industry sectors.
  • Solid Analytical and Technical Skills: Solid analytical and technical skills, with the ability to understand complex loan documentation and financing structures, and convey technical concepts to both technical practitioners and third parties.
