Merco Medical Staffing Limited is seeking a skilled Clinical Assessor to work remotely from home on the DWP's Personal Independence Payment service. This is a hybrid role, requiring visits to our local assessment centre. We offer a flexible self-led schedule following a 6-week working pattern based on your preferences, in agreement with your line manager.
As a Clinical Assessor, you will use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge to conduct paper-based reviews of claims, carry out independent health assessments, and write reports for the DWP. You will apply your critical reasoning skills and draw upon your clinical experience, skills, and knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional.
We are looking for a candidate with at least one year's post-NMC/HCPC registration work experience working with people aged 16 to 64. You should have good written and verbal communication skills and be a competent user of IT.
