The successful candidate will have a strong background in cancer nursing and be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical skills and credibility. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will work closely with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
The role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidenced-based nursing care, as well as managing your own workload as a specialist in acute oncology. You will also be responsible for delivering education and training to junior staff and contributing to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan individualized care for patients with cancer
- Implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions
- Manage own workload and prioritize tasks effectively
- Deliver education and training to junior staff
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
- RGN on the practising register
- Relevant post-basic qualification in cancer nursing or significant experience in a relevant specialty
- Evidence of working within a clinical area responsible for cancer patients
- Masters Degree or equivalent knowledge
