Audio Visual Service Engineer - Medical Technology

Position Details:

  • This role is for a Service Engineer, dedicated to the medical and healthcare industry.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include Planned & Preventative Maintenance, along with occasional tasks in both private and public healthcare facilities across Southern England (no on-call duties).
  • The equipment you will work with represents cutting-edge medical technology, primarily focused on audio-visual applications, and is applicable in various treatments and procedures, including live surgical environments.
  • The position covers the entirety of Southern England, with a significant portion of work concentrated in the London and Southeast regions.
  • This is a home-based role, requiring travel to various sites, with some overnight stays to optimize your time.
  • You will engage with both Public and Private Healthcare institutions.
  • Your work environment may include surgical theatres, specialized consultation rooms, and lecture halls.
  • Comprehensive initial training will be provided, along with ongoing career development opportunities.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary: Up to £40,000.00 annually

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience with Audio Visual equipment is essential, preferably with a background in fully programmable systems.
  • Applicants should be hands-on, enjoy practical work, and be capable of managing complete installations from inception to final commissioning.
  • Field-based installation experience is preferred, but suitable single-site experience will also be considered.
  • Strong IT and networking skills are crucial, as all systems are interconnected and programmable; foundational knowledge is necessary, although specific training will be provided.
  • A positive attitude and customer-facing experience are vital, as these are key components of the role.
  • Applicants should reside in the London or Southeast area, ideally within the Western home counties for better accessibility.
  • A valid driving license is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential; sponsorship is not available.
