At Turner & Townsend, we're seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Develop and implement cost and schedule baselines, and monitor performance against them.
- Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, and apply governance controls as necessary.
- Collaborate with remote teams to ensure cost and schedule accuracy, and provide value to our clients.
- Guide and influence general contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
- Create and maintain cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
- Understand and apply change management principles, leading agreed change management processes and workflows.
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules, agreeing baselines and critical paths.
- Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on project cost and schedule.
- Work closely with the project team to stay informed on project changes, incorporating and communicating these to the project team to allow for approvals in the change management process.
- Hold vendors accountable for required schedule updates and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate updates of the master schedule.
- Proven experience in project controls coordination in all phases of the project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting, with specialist life sciences or data centre sector experience.
- Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, and critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
- Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
