Eden Scott is pleased to collaborate with Cardowan Creameries in the search for a skilled individual to fill the role of Technical Assistant.

Cardowan Creameries, located in Glasgow, is a prominent producer of bakery fats, boasting over a century of expertise in the sector. The organization focuses on creating premium margarines, pastry fats, and shortenings tailored for the food production industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily testing and analysis of incoming raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Serve as an internal auditor to implement GMP, Hygiene, Fabrication, and QMS internal audit strategies.
  • Communicate findings of non-conformities to the Technical Manager to ensure prompt corrective measures are enacted.
  • Perform any additional tasks related to analytical and/or chemical reporting.
  • Execute necessary tests for microorganisms and relay results to the Technical Manager.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, efficiency, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Possess substantial experience with Microsoft applications, including Office and Excel.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • A qualification in Science or Food Science.
  • Technical or Quality experience within a food manufacturing setting.
  • HACCP or Food Safety Management certification.
  • Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
