Audit Manager

We are seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our team in Bishop's Stortford. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with the Audit Manager to ensure service excellence.

- Plan audit engagements and lead onsite teams.
- Preparation of accounts and tax computations.
- Be a go-to advisor for clients, building professional relationships and adopting a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Oversee junior team members, including managing workflow, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities.
- Work closely with Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.
- Identify and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the audit function.
- Support business development for the firm, identifying new service lines for your portfolio.

- Experience leading external audits from planning to completion
- Good understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Previous client facing experience with good relationship building skills
- Strong working knowledge of audit software, such as Caseware
- Confident using the Microsoft Office suite
- Good time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure.
- A team player who is eager to support the wider team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
