Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team at our North East branch in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of M&E projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all cost-related aspects of M&E projects, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide accurate cost forecasting for new build and installation projects.
  • Prepare and submit tenders, valuations, and variations in line with project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth financial and contractual management.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement of materials and subcontractors to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Monitor and report on project financials, ensuring all financial risks are identified and mitigated.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the education, MOD, or large industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of M&E systems, new build projects, and installation processes.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring financial control and profitability.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
