Overview
Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance within our extensive primary school environment. This role offers a dynamic work experience with varied daily tasks, encouraging innovative ideas and creative solutions to enhance the school's operational efficiency.
Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Bucks Pay 2 - £24,879 to £26,961 per annum
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift patterns include 06:45 to 13:45, 08:00 to 16:00, or 11:00 to 19:00.

About the role
The Facilities Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and upkeep of the school premises. This position requires a proactive individual who can maintain high standards of repair and safety.
About you
Essential Criteria:
• Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or security systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Basic DIY skills and reasonable physical fitness
• Capability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Desirable Criteria:
• Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., plumbing, electrical work, building maintenance)
• IOSH training
• Additional qualifications related to the role
• Openness to further training opportunities
• Experience in cleaning and health and safety practices
• Ability to supervise a small team effectively
• Comprehensive knowledge of DIY practices
