Job Summary:

As a Freelance Interpreter Translator, you will be responsible for interpreting and translating languages for clients in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations. You will work independently, using your skills and expertise to provide accurate and reliable interpreting and translation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret languages for clients in various settings, including face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting
  • Translate languages for clients, including written and spoken language
  • Work independently, using your skills and expertise to provide accurate and reliable interpreting and translation services
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered, or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
