We are seeking a highly experienced Highways Supervisor to join our team at Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of highways projects in the South East region.
Key Responsibilities- Site Inductions and Briefings: Ensure that all site inductions are carried out and recorded, and conduct daily site briefings to ensure all stakeholders are aware of project progress.
- Contractor Management: Monitor contractors' method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Quality Control: Carry out inspections, testing, and sampling to verify compliance with project specifications.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and collate all necessary data for the measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with Area Managers, Roadspace Manager, Local Authorities, Statutory Authorities, Emergency Services, and other third parties as required.
- Project Administration: Assist with the management and administration of construction works in accordance with the contract.
- Progress Monitoring: Assist with monitoring progress of site works and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Quality Planning: Assist with the production of quality plans and adhere to established procedures.
- Procedure Development: Identify and prepare new procedures as necessary to ensure project success.
- Construction Phase Planning: Prepare and maintain Construction Phase Plans to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Financial and Progress Reporting: Prepare monthly financial and progress reports to stakeholders.
- Work Valuation and Recording: Assist with the recording and valuation of work throughout the project duration.
- Programming and Planning: Assist with the planning and programming of works in close liaison with all contractors on site.
- Site Waste Management and Environmental Planning: Assist with the implementation, development, and maintenance of Site Waste Management and Environmental Management Plans.
- Health and Safety Processes: Assist with the production of Health and Safety processes and procedures.
- Highways Experience: Extensive experience of working within the highways sector.
- Network Operations: General knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery on high-speed roads.
- Asset Management: Experience with asset management.
- Communication and Leadership: Effective communicator and strong leader with good interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: CSCS and SSSTS certifications.
