SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with a variety of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Assist students with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, providing one-to-one or small group support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Encourage students to develop independence and confidence, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with special needs.
  • A relevant qualification or experience working with children in an SEN setting.
