About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism, complex needs, severe learning difficulties, and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Implement personalized curriculum and behavior management strategies to ensure students' success and well-being.
  • Support students in developing their communication, social, and life skills, fostering independence and confidence.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and medication administration, as required.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people with Autism and complex needs, preferably in an educational or care setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting students with physical disabilities and mobility issues, including wheelchair users.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward supporting students with diverse needs.
